About

The Town of Cazenovia Comprehensive Plan 2030 update began in May 2023 guided by a steering committee of town residents with the assistance of land use planning consultants from EDR. Members of the public will be invited to share their ideas and feedback before the plan is adopted by the Town of Cazenovia. This plan will provide a roadmap for the future of the Town of Cazenovia and facilitate the day-to-day decisions of local officials and residents.

The Town of Cazenovia comprehensive plan draft vision statement is:

Preserve and enhance the unique characteristics of the Cazenovia community, which reflect a composition of distinctive natural, cultural, historic, and scenic resources. Encourage sustainable economic growth and climate action while maintaining an inviting and equitable atmosphere for all to experience Cazenovia’s historic village, magnificent lake, quaint hamlet, and productive agrarian landscape.

This vision for the future is guided by the following themes:

Public Meeting + Survey

The Town of Cazenovia is hosting a public informational meeting to present the draft Comprehensive Plan 2030 Update. Members of the public are invited to review the draft Comprehensive Plan, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Past Public Engagement

A public meeting was held on October 24, 2023, at the Town of Cazenovia Library Community Room from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 pm.

Members of the public were invited to learn more about the comprehensive planning process and share ideas and feedback to guide the development of the goals and strategies in the plan. The public meeting presentation materials are available here.

A community survey was available to further share input and ideas to be included in the comprehensive plan. The survey closed on December 1, 2023.
